Our Commitment to Affordability
LifeSchool was founded as a ministry to serve God by offering families an affordable, Christ-centered alternative to public education. From the beginning, we’ve worked hard to provide a high-quality program at one of the most accessible rates available.
To give perspective on the value we offer:
- Tuition for one child is $4,500 per year, or $500 per month over a 9-month school year.
- With 129 instructional days, that breaks down to $34.88 per day or $5.81 per hour (based on a 6-hour day).
- Many families choose the discounted rate of $4,000 per year, which reduces the hourly cost to $5.16 per child.
- For two children enrolled at the discounted rate ($6,600 total), the cost is just $4.26 per hour per child.
These figures reflect classroom instruction time only and do not account for:
- Teacher planning and curriculum development
- Professional development and training
- Classroom setup and materials preparation
- Ongoing communication with parents
- Administrative responsibilities and facility care
Our teachers dedicate countless hours — including evenings, weekends, and summers — to ensure a rich, Christ-centered education grounded in the Charlotte Mason philosophy.
We use AmblesideOnline curriculum plans because we believe they provide the highest quality Christian education. However, this is not an "open and go" curriculum; it requires careful preparation and thoughtful implementation.
