Natasha McKay co-founded LifeSchool in 2021 and currently serves as Program Director. Over the past four years, she taught Form 1 (Grades 1–3), and this year she is excited to step into teaching Form 2 (Grades 4–5). In addition to her teaching role, Natasha oversees curriculum development and handles many of the school’s administrative responsibilities, helping to guide the vision and day-to-day operations of LifeSchool. Before launching LifeSchool, she taught at The Academy at Foxborough and began homeschooling her own children in 2010.

She and her husband, Mark, have been married for 24 years and have five children. Their oldest son, Brandon, is 23, and their daughter, Sara, is 18. Their younger children—Elizabeth (10th grade), Benjamin (6th grade), and James (4th grade)—are all proud LifeSchool students.

Outside the classroom, Natasha enjoys time with her family, reading, painting, exploring the outdoors, and studying God’s Word.

"I really enjoy teaching at LifeSchool. God has given me a supernatural love for these kids. I feel very blessed and humbled that He allows me to be part of what He is doing here. We (teachers) actively seek Him every day and rely on the Holy Spirit to lead LS. That reliance on God and the life-giving principles of Charlotte Mason make LS a really special thing to be part of.”

Christy Thomasson co-founded LifeSchool in 2021 and currently serves as the Education Director. She taught High School at LifeSchool for three years. Christy and her husband, James—pastor of MeetingHouse Church—have four children and one granddaughter.

In addition to her role at LifeSchool, Christy serves as Director of MHC Kids and MHC Families Ministries, continuing her lifelong calling to disciple the next generation. Since 1999, Christy has served in children’s ministry, homeschooled her own children through middle school, and worked with students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She is passionate about reaching children’s hearts, not just modifying behavior.

As Education Director, Christy plays a key role in shaping LifeSchool’s educational philosophy—one that integrates academic excellence, spiritual formation, and whole-child development. Her leadership has been instrumental in developing a learning environment that is nurturing, purposeful, and rooted in biblical truth.

“Education is a life. That life is sustained on ideas. Ideas are of spiritual origin, and God has made us so that we get them chiefly as we convey them to one another, whether by word of mouth, written page, scripture word or musical symphony; but we must sustain a child’s inner life with ideas as we sustain his body with food.”

Hannah Berry is entering her second year as the High School teacher at LifeSchool. She became part of the LifeSchool community in 2024 after moving to Middleboro with her husband, Ben, who serves as the Youth Pastor at MeetingHouse Church.

Hannah began her college journey at the United States Military Academy at West Point before completing her degree in Biblical Studies and Church Ministry at Boston Baptist College. Since then, she has earned her certification as a Natural Health Practitioner and is currently pursuing her doctorate as a Traditional Naturopath.

In addition to her passion for holistic health, Hannah loves ministering alongside her husband in their church’s youth program. She is excited to return to LifeSchool and looks forward to a new year filled with stories, growth, and meaningful conversations with her students.

Kellie Carlson has served as an assistant teacher for the past four years. This year, she steps into a new role as the lead teacher for Form 1 (Grades 1–3), and she is excited for the opportunity to guide and grow with her students.

Kellie and her husband, Ian, have been married for 15 years. They are the proud parents of two children—Gavin (14) and Khloe (12). As a family, they enjoy spending time in God’s Word, gardening, raising chickens, playing with their dog Penelope, listening to music, camping, and boating. They strive to delight in all of God’s blessings, both big and small. “I am looking forward to what God has planned for this year, trusting in His goodness and mercies.”

"I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High." —Psalm 9:1–2

LifeSchool is blessed to have Ben Berry teaching in the middle school class this year. He is the Youth Pastor at MeetingHouse Church. Prior to stepping into the classroom, Ben had the opportunity to teach and hang out with with many of our students through Wednesday night Youth Groups and after-school programs. He is excited to spend time with the students in a classroom setting—encouraging them to see how God is present in every part of life and creation.

Originally from Trenton, Michigan, Ben is one of eight siblings. He moved to Boston to attend Boston Baptist College, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies with a concentration in Pastoral Ministry—and where he also met his wife, Hannah Berry, who teaches High School at LS.

Ben brings valuable experience from teaching both youth and adult classes in Michigan and has continued that passion at MHC, discipling the youth and helping them grow in their relationship with God.

His heart for youth ministry is grounded in Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart

from it."

Lynn Turgeon brings a strong background in business leadership and financial management to her work at LifeSchool. As the co-founder, COO, and CFO of Evidox—an E-discovery firm she helped lead from 2006 to 2016—Lynn developed deep expertise in organizational strategy, operations, and fiscal stewardship. She also served as an adjunct professor at Middlesex Community College from 2011 to 2013, blending her real-world experience with a passion for education.

Since joining LifeSchool five years ago, Lynn has served in many roles including substitute teacher, assistant teacher, and last year, full-time Middle School teacher. This year she is serving in the Middle School class again. Her business acumen and heart for service have made her an invaluable asset to the school. As Treasurer for both LifeSchool and MeetingHouse Church, she provides faithful oversight and wisdom that support the mission and long-term sustainability of the school.

Lynn is a tremendous blessing to the LifeSchool community—her presence brings both spiritual encouragement and practical strength. She and her husband, Dave, have five children and nine grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with God, her family, and golfing.

"LifeSchool is a place where you can drop your babies off worry free and know they are in great hands! My children are 7,9 & 15 and all three of them, after going to LifeSchool, say that they would never want to go back to public school. I love the teachers, the students, and everything they are teaching my kids.. My kids have a deep relationship and love for God and Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Which is ultimately the most important and valuable gift that you can teach a child. Without God what is life, with out LifeSchool what is school."   -Kayla (Mom of 3 LS students)
